Legislators in Iowa, Florida, and Minnesota have proposed laws that would make taking photos of a farm a criminal act—whether on large or small, “good or bad” actors. They charge that unapproved photos and videos misrepresent the realities of farming and damage the public perception of our nation’s food producers. This means that when we go to GEOF and take photos the fields we would be committing a crime.
