CSA Week #8 – July 19-22
A note on last week’s share… We realized after the fact that the broccoli we sent out to some of you last week was not great. Our apologies. Growing summer broccoli is next to impossible, but we tried our best! We have LOTS of broccoli planted for the fall when it actually grows well! If any of you had issues with the quality or with some insects, please toss it in your compost. It was a bonus item in the box, so its value was not calculated in the share total. We have a bit of a lull in the harvest this week. It happens every year mid-July. We’re looking forward to harvesting more amazing veggies for you again in the coming weeks. What’s coming up in the next month? Corn! Tomatoes! Peppers! Green Beans! Watermelons! In the meantime, enjoy one more week of these early summer favorites…
